Anybody ever do a credit trade with Troll and Toad or Noble Knight?

This is more about trade credit than direct sale. I was just wondering if you thought the trade rate was fair, especially given you could turn that credit into something else you might really want in your collection. I have a few collectible items I've picked up recently that aren't really in line with my gaming interest, but were too much of a steal to pass up when I bought them.

  1. I've dealt with Noble Knight many times. Only once did I turn down a trade offer that I felt was too low. (I knew what the eBay value of the item was, so I tossed it up there.) But other than that, I've been very pleased with nearly a dozen trade-ins for credit (which I then turned around and bought more stuff from them anyway). One note: Anything that is currently available via Lulu or on the shelves will not be worth much. The out-of-print and oddball rare stuff will be worth much more.

  2. Thanks, Tim. And it's all OOP stuff.

  3. I've also traded satisfactorily with Noble Knight on more than one occasion. However, you've peaked my curiosity. Won't you tell us what items you have?

  4. Noble Knight has always been fair with me. I enjoy doing business with them, both ways.

  5. @Perdustin: Nothing in particular right now, but I have stuff like the Judge Dredd RPG hardback (1989) and the Judgement Day module (1986) - both used by previous owner, but simply gathering dust on my shelf. Mostly stuff like that (not super popular, but possibly of interest to the right person).

  6. I traded with Noble Knight on a number of occasions and was always satisfied with the given value. It's been a while, but I do recall getting estimates of values on games before shipping them. A few estimates were less than what I was looking for, so I didn't send those specific items.
