I really have no idea what I'm doing here, but I know what I'm trying to do.
The underlying assumption is that the mother's genes will always take dominance.
EE=Full-blooded Elf
Father Mother EE HH EH HE EE EE EH Eh Ee HH HE HH Hh He EH Eh eH EH EH HE hE He HE HE
HH=Full-blooded Human
EH=Half-Elf with Dominant Elven Gene (from mother)
HE=Half-Elf with Dominant Human Gene (from mother)
Eh=3/4-Elf+1/4-Human (Dominant Elven Gene)
Ee=3/4-Elf+1/4-Human (Recessive Human Gene)
eH=1/4-Elf+3/4-Human (Recessive Human Gene)
He=1/4-Elf+3/4-Human (Dominant Human Gene)
Hh=1/4-Elf+3/4-Human (Recessive Elven Gene)
If they were Santa's elves, the genetics would be HO HO HO instead of HE HE HE.
ReplyDeleteAlmost, but not quite, entirely unlike science.
ReplyDeleteThe union of elves and humans are half-orcs? Is this what you are implying? That would be cool... ;)
ReplyDeleteThat was a comment @ravencrowking...
DeleteSanta's Little Half-Orcs?
DeleteIt's not as simple as that, though. Not all traits in humans are Mendelian. In fact, almost none are.

Basically, ear wax type and ability to taste certain things.
