My wife told me I should have worn a New Big Dragon t-shirt the entire time. Or at least put my ugly mug up on the blog before the con so everybody knew who to look for. I'll know better next time. Did you get a button? At least tell me you got a button. Also, have you read Michael's post about the session on his Shiverwhen blog?New Big Dragonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02412016128904985180noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8752950690535469488.post-31788171688557039482013-06-13T15:06:24.425-05:002013-06-13T15:06:24.425-05:00Richard -- I am an idiot for just now realizing th...Richard -- I am an idiot for just now realizing that my playtest partner was also the author of a blog I regularly follow. Doh!

Thanks for writing this up. I had a blast at this playtest and I think you did it justice. One of the setting elements that I really enjoyed (and that you alluded to above) is that "making a name for yourself" is literal in Shiverwhen. Everyone gets kicked out of the house at 18, drops their surname and all their wealth, and is responsible for making it on their own. I really liked this because it gives a excellent narrative motivation for the "adventuring lifestyle".NakiaPopehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17406561137170462267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8752950690535469488.post-31452098054989697272013-06-11T11:26:22.225-05:002013-06-11T11:26:22.225-05:00Any errors in the above are minor ones that don...Any errors in the above are minor ones that don't require correction. Given the constant state of flux the game is in, even changing them to reflect what is currently written would be akin to writing one's name on the river's surface.

Thanks for doing this. It's always useful and enlightening to see how the thoughts inside my own head are interpreted by those not living in there. From what you've composed, it appears most everything is surviving the transition and working as intended.

And you're fine in regards to talking about the scenario without revealing any big secrets. It's all good!Michael Curtishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13217338828086458862noreply@blogger.com
